A glimpse into the work we do @EmergencyRv At times this work is overwhelming. We just received the case note below from a Western, NC county disaster case manager. We also have over 200 families on our waiting list not unlike these cases. @EmergencyRv has delivered and gifted over 100 RVs in Western, NC to date and we need help to continue our work. We currently need additional funding, quality donated RVs and a grant writer. We are an all volunteer 501c3 in good standing with the IRS. Donations are fully tax deductable. Help us. https://t.co/nHjpcqWXq3 Case #: 169 Demographics: Two Adults, Ages 51 & 46 Additional Information: Family is currently living in a significantly damaged double wide with mold and unable to use electricity when it rains due to rain coming into the home over electrical wiring. Male is oxygen dependent and have COPD and unable to use oxygen when the weather is bad as the home cannot use electricity. Has property ready for camper placement. Additional Needs: Generator Case #: 176 Demographics: Single Adult Male, Age 26 Additional Information: Client has special needs and developmental delays and has resided in a camper most of his adult life. Client’s camper was damaged in the storm and has significant water damage and mold, one wall is significantly deteriorating. Client is still residing in the damaged camper. This will be a permanent housing solution for him. Has property ready for camper placement. Case #: 152 Demographics: Two Adults, Ages 48 & 21 Additional Information: Family is residing in a damaged HUD rental that the landlord will not repair. Significant water damage and mold, roof concerns, flooring is coming up. Client is concerned about losing permanent housing due to landlord not repairing the home to HUD standards. Also Needs: Location for Camper Placement. Case #: 217 Single Adult Female, Age 66 Additional Information: Client is living in a home without heat, significant mold and water damage, areas of the home are exposed to the outdoors and the home has rats. The landlord is unwilling to make repairs to the home and the client is in jeopardy of losing permanent housing due to the landlord not repairing the home to HUD standards. Also Needs: Location for Camper Placement. Case #: 174 Two Adults, Ages 56 & 19 Additional Information: Family is living in a damaged dwelling with mold and water damage. 56 YO has significant health concerns, history of cancer and sever back and neck injuries, currently residing with adopted granddaughter in the home. Occasionally has other grandchildren in the home when it is safe to do so. Case #: 208 Single Adult Female, Age 72 Additional Information: Disabled individual suffering with health issues as a result of living in the damaged dwelling and breathing in mold and mildew. Mobility issues and concerns. Case #: 219 Demographics: Single Adult Male, Age 72 Additional Information: Single male with walker and some mobility issues, currently living in hotel and unable to live in his home due to significant damage. When hotel ends he will have no where to reside, no significant support system. Also need location for Camper Placement. Case #: 139 Single Adult Female, Age 71 Additional Information: Single elderly women, daughter is serving as power of attorney but resides in Florida. Home was severely damaged in the hurricane and has been gutted and is unlivable. Client is residing in a camper on the property, a tree has fallen through the camper and is tarped over. Client is living in unsafe living conditions. Has physical limitations and injuries. Needs: Generator Case #: 205 Single Adult Female, Age 75 Additional Information: Home was totally destroyed by the hurricane and has been residing out of state with other family temporarily. Client typically lives alone and has exhausted services for a new home.
