I just found this excellent footage of a 3F that Yuzu performed in his FS at 4CC 2017.
The filming from behind has the big advantage that the edge of the blade and the ice mark are both visible at the take-off and landing.

The recording quality of this Salchow is not quite as good as of the other jumps, but the rotation is still recognizable.
It's a mystery to me how he pre-rotates only a quarter turn on the 4S. This is so awesome.

Here are another two slow motion studies, this time of #YuzuruHanyu's triple Axel and quad Salchow jump.
It's incredible that he manages to reduce the pre-rotation at the Axel take-off to almost 0. Also the big room at the landing is absolutely stunning.

Here is a similar slow motion animation that has stops at 0, 1/4, 1/2 and also the 3 1/2, 3 3/4 and 4 turn marks.
It's not very precise yet, but I think that even with this relatively primitive tool it's easy to judge the take-off and landing of a jump.

A little animation experiment helped me to create this SBS comparison of two Lutz jumps with stops at the 0°, 90°, 180° and 270° mark.
I think, this method has a lot of potential, but it requires footage with high resolution and framerate and similar camera perspectives.
