If at all @AshwiniVaishnaw becomes a CM, I don't think he would have come forward and asked for it, but @narendramodi perhaps sensing his poor performance in @GoI_MeitY esp related to #FabInIndia could do this as a "one decision, two birds" measure

IFS gets into top-10, GF retains #3, Tower retains #7, PSMC slips.. & yea @GoI_MeitY remains unable to get a #FabInIndia @PMOIndia ..
If anything, the latest #ElectionResults perhaps reaffirms that @narendramodi is a once-in-a-century phenomenon, turning around the seemingly impossible
And hence probably still the best bet to realize high volume Silicon #FabInIndia - @PMOIndia needs to prioritize & push for it

Laugh or cry, I've still not given up hopes of a commercial Silicon #FabInIndia partly cos sometimes the least expected things happen. Within such instances, there are some where we may never know why. In some cases (like below) the 'why now' may matter, to me, for fab it doesn't

What I don't understand is this topic will hardly fetch votes. I tend to believe that @narendramodi genuinely wants #FabInIndia but @GoI_MeitY is useless (& many times damaging), @AshwiniVaishnaw has degraded to publicity-hyping-politician & @Rajeev_GoI is somewhere in between.
@dravirmani Taiwan (people/industry) has to get their skepticism (infra, talent etc) out of their head when it comes to opening a #FabInIndia either directly or JV/ToT (by UMC for example). Having said that, why have @GoI_MeitY @PMOIndia not helped PSMC to help us ?

But given Chandra once said $5b #FabInIndia , the 'right node' etc it could be Silicon fab (also)
