Greg: Good thing we wrote it first so it had to go first. It is kind of an outlier. I actually like the contrast of the wrap around from closer to opener. #FailSwerve930
Greg: Steve's a real purist, both philosophically and artistically, and it was cool to be around that perspective so early in my career. Also cool watching him mic a drum kit. #FailSwerve930

greg: idk about starting with force-fed but definitely would have made a few changes to the overall sequence.#FailSwerve930
Greg For IN THE FUTURE we wrote and recorded songs from scratch in 2-3 week periods with a hard deadline (3 songs and one sequence each time)Then a few months later we got back together and did it again until we had an album. It was the fastest writing process yet. #FailSwerve930
greg: it seemingly gives easier access to what you imagine in your head, but that ease comes with a cost-- all the pedals and cables and half-functioning equipment and loose tubes of the past-- that was half the battle and sometimes gave amazing results. #FailSwerve930
@930Club @Failure Your focus on experimentation and atmosphere is amazing. With regards to that and general instrumentation, do you feel advances in recording technology, effects, etc. since the 90s give you more tools to work with? Do you feel your sound can be more expansive now? #FailSwerve930
