The #FairyTaleCovers prints have arrived - hooray! I've already started on the gold detailing. And just for fun, I put one of the gold Thumbelina prints into a frame I had - isn't it pretty!
These big stacks also include backing boards so I safely package and post the prints.
The sample #FairyTaleCovers prints arrived yesterday after a detour via Brisbane (thanks Aust Post!) and they look beautiful. I spent this morning practicing gold embellishing on them using a gold fine art acrylic paint with a tiny size 000 brush 🖌️💚 Final prints now in train!

East of the Sun and West of the Moon is going to be the final in my #fairytalecovers series! Limited special print run is less than 2 weeks away! Which thumbnail draws you in? I think there's lots of potential here for strong contrasts, bold silhouettes and use of negative space.
What should I do for my final illustration in the #fairytalecovers series?
I'm torn between a fairy tale people are more likely to recognise (East of the Sun and West of the Moon) and one by a woman author, since they're underrepresented in our best-known traditional tales.

I've spent the last week wrestling with fonts for my #fairytalecovers. I've decided typography is my nemesis, but I'm much happier with these than the originals! I think this keeps consistency so they are visually tied together as a series, while being appealing and easy to read.
