Everyone deserves to feel safe in this country.
Two weeks ago, following the horrific terrorist attack in Manchester, I saw first-hand the fear inside the Jewish community, and I promised to do everything in my power to guarantee them the security they deserve.
That started with a more visible police presence โ and today we are giving extra funding to ramp up security around synagogues and faith schools.
More must be done. Tackling hatred and extremism in our society is a challenge for our whole country.
Itโs on all of us to tackle this evil โ and I am determined my government will leave no stone unturned to protect Jewish people in all parts of life.
