Keeping the cows painted in festive colours is a lot of work. Every day 30 or 40 cows will have rubbed the paint off and I need to touch it up, but it's worth the effort because Christmas! #FarmingWithKreg

I always like the contractor to leave a couple of bales behind in the paddock to give something back to the land. Hopefully they'll mate and well have another bumper crop of bales next season #Regenerative #FarmingWithKreg

I have a few strict rules during milking; no yelling, allow the cows plenty of space on the yard and, above all, no telling jokes If you make the cows laugh milk comes out their noses #FarmingWithKreg

Mowing grass during a surplus to feed out when there's a feed deficit is all part of the farming cycle. The grass gets wrapped in plastic which we later burn to make the seasons warmer, just as nature intended #FarmingWithKreg

People ask me how New Zealand became such an efficient producer of milk. It's because we keep tight control of costs. In NZ cows are milked in sheds by people wearing gumboots Overseas they're milked in parlours by people wearing Wellingtons #FancyPants #FarmingWithKreg
