@GenerationTexas A7: In danger of losing a merit scholarship because your grades were too low? Most colleges have some sort of petition process where you can explain why you were struggling and ask for another chance. Communicate with Financial Aid and see what help they can offer you.#FinLitTx
@GenerationTexas A7: At a minimum, you must submit your FAFSA each year (opens 10/1!) and continue to meet the Satisfactory Academic Progress Requirements set forth for financial aid. #FinLitTX
@GenerationTexas A:6 I looked for flexibility. I worked as a substitute so I was able to pick the days I wanted to work on the spot. So if I had a test coming up I just didn’t sign up to work. Look for jobs where a lot of students work because then they tend to be more understanding #FinLitTX

@GenerationTexas A6: Find out if you are eligible for Work Study as this may increase job opportunities. Look for a job with flexible hours, consistent pay, an association with your future profession, and a boss that recognizes that you are a student first and worker second. #FinLitTX
A6: Look into internships, which are a great way to integrate knowledge learned in the classroom with practical application & skills development in a professional setting. Federal work-study programs also allow students to earn while they learn. https://t.co/vZalS2kBnS #FinLitTx
@GenerationTexas A6: If possible, get a job on campus. If you need a resume builder, ask your professors if they need a research assistant. Ask your friends, especially the ones that already have on-campus jobs, if they know of any job openings. #FinLitTx
