This week I'm measuring absolute gravity at Åland. We measure gravity at 20 points across Finland every three years on average to monitor and better understand, e.g., how the postglacial land uplift deforms the gravity system. @fgi_nls #FinnRef #gravity #GIA

Even though the winter has come, it is still possible to do some field work. Yesterday we installed a geodetic InSAR corner reflector at Loviisa #FinnRef station. While the air temp was only -9C, windchill was almost -20C. Notice the sun elevation, this was around noon. @fgi_nls

First set of a total of 11 corner reflectors for geodetic #InSAR just arrived. These will be installed across Finland at, e.g., permanent GNSS #FinnRef sites to provide accurate ground deformation monitoring and potentially contribute to the next national height system. @fgi_nls
