As an example, residents had a $1000 loss deductible, so just seeing Nova Scotia not ding people, Islanders asked why, and the government backtracked and only then waived the deductible. No plan, no idea, no answers. #FionaFail #PEI

@ReporterTeresa It is only hard when you made no effort to be ready. If you did not study for the test, it might be difficult to get a passing grade when the exam paper is on the table in front of you and you have no answers to the questions. #FionaFail #PEI

@terryhashimoto @Tim_Banks @MECLPEI @kerrywcampbell You are right, they are light, but so was Nova Scotia Power, which called up contractors to be on-site last week, on call, ready to work once conditions permitted. MECL waited until later, issued orders later, and brought in people from further away. Own goal. #FionaFail #PEI

@Tim_Banks @ZacBeThompson @MECLPEI @kerrywcampbell There are great Maritime Electric crews hard at work and many contractors as well, but someone made the call ten days ago to not act prior to the storm arriving, to ‘wait and see’, and if that person was honourable, would apologize to the customers of the company. #FionaFail #PEI

Do you seriously think there were just no contractors closer than the Fortis Ontario ‘sister company’, or no supervisors closer than from their staff in Alberta? @kerrywcampbell The point remains that Kim Griffin is sent out as the PR person, and the people who make decisions stay hunkered down on Kent Street. Just admit they were slow to get going, did not prepare well, perhaps underestimated matters, and then tell people the truth. #FionaFail #PEI

@MereMacDonald If anybody here is thinking of a generator, I would suggest looking for a propane one. You can store propane but you cannot store gasoline for extended periods.
