New Jersey ranks 49th out of 50 in state tax competitiveness. High property taxes, sky-high corporate rates, income taxes crushing the middle class! How much more can NJ taxpayers take? Time for change. #TaxRelief #NJPolitics #FixNJ

Feeling the pinch from endless tax hikes & skyrocketing costs? Guess what - this year's NJ election gives you a chance to change it. Send this to a friend who wants relief. 🇺🇸! #ItsTime #ElectionCounts #FixNJ
New Jersey’s roads, bridges, and power grid are falling apart — and career politicians offer empty promises. @BillSpadea has a plan.
He’ll partner with NJ’s skilled tradesmen and women to rebuild our state — No excuses. Just action.
Real leadership. Real jobs. Real results.

Here’s a great plan to #fixnj and #fixschoolfunding but #njdem leadership won’t let it see the light of day. What did they do instead? They let school boards raise your already exorbitant property taxes over the 2% increase cap. #flipnjred
NJ Republicans have a plan that would FULLY FUND SCHOOLS and LOWER PROPERTY TAXES.
This legislation will never make it on the Assembly Education Committee agenda for action, as the Democrats maintain a stranglehold and love the unsustainable, crippling status quo.
Their solution??? They voted for school boards to exceed the 2% annual cap and raise school taxes nearly 10% in a single year, directly hitting district taxpayers.
New Jersey's school funding formula measures each school district's wealth by property value, not income. As a result, over the past five years, New Jerseyans are being taxed as if they were nearly 2.5 times wealthier than in reality. Property values have increased by 24% over that time, while income has only increased by 10%.
As stated by Republican Assembly Leader John DiMaio, the Republican plan fixes that by focusing state aid for schools on income instead of property value. That ensures more funding and lower property taxes every year. The gauge of affordability is property taxes exceeding 5% of a school district's residential income, which is in line with standards for preventing poverty-level housing costs. Poverty-level housing costs are considered 30% of income, which means property taxes should be about 5% of income. It is a fair, and equitable, standard.

If we ever want to #fixnj we need to #fixschoolfunding One district has to cut teachers it needs while another sends teachers to Hawaii? Ridiculous.
🚨NJ taxpayers OUTSIDE OF NEWARK pay over $1.2B of the Newark School District's annual costs.
Where does your money go?
☑️Lavish trips for staff and board members to balmy vacation spots like Honolulu and Palm Springs.
☑️Superintendent Roger León's FUN DAY with complimentary food and alcoholic beverages on your dime.
☑️$1.4M fee for an uncertified "consultant" who never started the work of learning loss remediation.
☑️Millions above market price to outbid a successful public charter school to purchase school building in an area of the city where current public school buildings are UNDER ENROLLED.
Oh, and NPS received an extra $287M in Covid relief ESSER funds to remediate learning loss. This has been used to serve only 16% of eligible students.
What an absolute embarrassment.

Hundreds of Millions of Dollars Flooded Into Newark Schools From Covid. Where It All Landed Is Not So Clear.

I will be in Trenton on Monday to testify on 2 different bills…. 1) the OPRA bill 2) Affordable Housing Bill - I have outlined in my gov campaign #FixNj (on my website) detailed plans on how I would improve the environment to construct more affordable housing. One key part that can be addressed in this bill is revisiting the Urban Aid Municipalities that are exempt (like Jersey City). If we are being fair, the economic environment in many have changed and including in obligations will help the state meet goals

Hmmm 🤔 Accessory Dwelling Units…. sounds like something we passed in Jersey City last year and was part of our Fulop for Governor Housing Policy paper last year called #FixNJ @MattFriedmanNJ @dracioppi
This budget will increase funding for the construction of new affordable housing units.
We will also support the construction of new Accessory Dwelling Units – enabling homeowners to convert their garage or attic into an apartment that a loved one or a local renter can move into.
Specifically dedicating CBT to NJT…… 🤔 hmmmm… where did this recommendation first come from? Answer: Fulop for Governor White Paper on Transportation called #FixNJ
Congratulations 🎊 @GovMurphy NJ once again is number #1, only thing it's for the wrong reason as usual. For 6yrs now NJ has the most outbound moves VS inbound. Oh wait haven't you been governor 6yrs. 🤔 #NJDeservesBetter

A few weeks ago we released our Fulop for Governor Public Safety & Criminal Justice Plan as part of #FixNJ. On Monday (1/8) at 6:30pm, I'll be hosting another zoom call to hear any feedback about the plan and answer your questions.
Hope to see you there as your feedback is critical as we work together on this campaign. Register here: https://t.co/uDfpBYQFqv

This AM, we released our Fulop for Governor Public Safety & Criminal Justice Plan as part of #FixNJ. I will be a Governor that leans into these issues + I’m being clear on my priorities even if politically it opens me up to criticism. The plan includes Adjustment age for Firearm purchases, Commitment to Implementing a Proper Civilian Review Board, restructuring Public Defenders, alternative sentencing, Reinforcement of Bail Reform, Closing Youth Prisons, Restoring Retiree COLA, Among Other Initiatives you can download at https://t.co/iP20L30Ulr

I’m committed to running the most detailed policy oriented campaign in NJ history. Next week we release our Fulop for Gov #FixNJ - Criminal Justice & Public Safety Plan. Detailed policy may open me up to criticism, but that’s ok bc i’m serious about fixing the very real problems facing NJ. It’s not platitudes here - it’s about substance

December we’re going to finish/release our #FixNJ Public Safety/Criminal Justice Plan. Similar to housing and transportation we want this to be robust, thoughtful, detailed and reflect the energy of the campaign. I’m open to feedback and suggestions as the best policy ideas come from residents.

Just read @StevenFulop's #HousingPolicy in connection with his bid for governor. Noticeably absent is any mention of #RentControl. NOT ONE WORD. Is his #FixNJ idea to eliminate rent control?
Kicking off the release of @StevenFulop Housing Policy in South Orange, alongside state leaders @SheenaCollum and @sadafjaffer #FixNJ

Tuesday (9/26) we will release our Housing Plan for NJ as Part 2 of #FixNJ (Transportation was Part 1) - it will be the most comprehensive housing plan from any gubernatorial campaign ever in NJ and at the minimum will raise the bar for expectations that others will be detailed/thoughtful as well bc that’s what the public deserves
