Good A/V production quality is table stakes, but it's been way too hard.

This type of well-prepared remote lecture, with reading materials shared well in advance (it looks great!) is perhaps the only genre of remote event that doesn’t need a high-quality production to work well for attendees. #FixRemoteEvents

We really need to #FixRemoteEvents — merely speaking at them is too burdensome. Speakers, attendees, producers and sponsors alike deserve better.
Again I just finished a 45 minute talk in absolute silence as all participants are muted. I miss applause, even if it’s just out of politeness. And faces. Smiles. Eye contact. I think the absence of all this is more mentally taxing than I have admitted to myself.
