@advictoriams @slsandpet @Kynes99 @Judetomyfriends Taper rates are an enormous issue, applied to earnings after reporting income for #JobSeekers and related #SocialSecurity payments. What happens next is some accounting trickery that leaves us behind. #FixTaperRates so earning is rewarded. #auspol https://t.co/HW364K4XLr

Raising the rate of #JobSeeker and all below #poverty line payments is critical. We have casual & gig economy workers kept in poverty by “Earnings Taper Rates” that can leave ppl worse off for working. $s cut twice from gross income. #RaiseTheRate #TaperRates #auspol @Tony_Burke

@advictoriams @slsandpet @Kynes99 @Judetomyfriends There is already too much abuse built into the system, this is why we fight. #RaiseTheRate #NoCIM No Compulsory Income Management #TaxOnce on earnings for #casuals - stop manipulating gross amounts to ensure people don’t have enough. #FixTaperRates #auspol https://t.co/J8GRHpRzAY
