1/2 River bed materials like sand, soil, boulders are widely used in #FloodProtectionWork, given their effectiveness in embankment protection.
Soil and sand are used as fill materials in geo bags, empty cement bags for embankments & spurs.
Loamy or clayey #soil is avoided.
2/2 Boulders with clean edges & flat surfaces are used for multiple purposes like slope protection, bank revetments, spurs etc in #FloodProtectionWork.
While using boulders, its shape, size, gradation is taken into account.

These bags are made of geo textiles and are highly durable. 💪 1/3

The basic raw material used in geo-textile is polymer. Most widely used polymers are polypropylene & polyester.
Based upon the manufacturing process, geo textile is often categorized as woven & non-woven.

बिहार में बाढ़ से सुरक्षा के लिए इस वर्ष स्वीकृत 298 Anti erosion Works में से 38 को पूरा करा लिया गया है। शेष कार्य भी मई माह में पूर्ण करा लिया जाएगा।
#WRDBihar द्वारा कोसी नदी पर नेपाल प्रभाग में भी 19 कटाव निरोधक कार्य कराये जा रहे हैं।

इस वर्ष राज्यभर में ऐसी 298 योजनाओं पर काम चल रहा है। कोरोना से उत्पन्न चुनौतियों के बावजूद कार्यों को समय से पूरा करने के प्रयास जारी हैं।
