Post is talking about audits by regulator on various flight kitchens in the country. But Indigo itself has obtained few licenses from FSSAI for Kitchen, Flight catering services . Indigo talks about the systems lapses at catering partners units and its audit on their systems now. FSSAI says it has served a notice on Interglobe Aviation (Indigo). Anyone checking FSSAI license portal will find 4 licenses issued to Interglobe for its Flight kitchen, catering services at multiple locations. Which catering partner they are talking about ? FSSAI portal has not uploaded the "showcause" notice in its portal under Advisories section. Atleast there is no page for Consumer Alert, Public Alert, Caution Alerts in the Regulator's portal - in the home page section. Interglobe is now saying its supply chain systems are responsible for lapses. But Interglobe is the top 100 list of SEBI's top 1000 listed entities with mkt cap of Rs 1000 crores and above . It has to check its supply chain compliances too as part of Mandatory Reporting - call it under social responsibility, governance or material disclosures. These are actually business conduct issues - basic essentials any business has to follow. Its not just about "mandatory" or "not mandatory" calls. Entrepreneurship doesn't call for regulation for everything under the sun. Since the lapses in Entrepreneurial World are rising, some basic disclosures, reporting guidelines are actually brought back in the form of ESG reporting, under mandatory reporting as businesses are failing to follow basic essentials. All flight kitchens, inflight catering service businesses follow International Certifications on Food Quality, Safety and Hygiene Practices too. How many Certification Bodies have conducted a Risk Based Inspection or Audit now as they would have issued the Certificates to these units Which are the ABs quoted in the Certificates ? What are they investigating as AB? This is how integrated audits have to be performed. Financial Regulators don't understand ABC of this as these are Technical Regulations. However Financial Regulators are digging deeper as we have seen in the case of Pharma Sector where SEBI has questioned pharma majors not disclosing key information which was a show cause notice by Intl Regulator on Quality and Safety Practices . SEBI and FSSAI has to work together and look at integrated reporting . Isolated Audits, reporting will not solve issues and infact will provide window for businesses to blame others. Indigo has to to mention who are their catering partners because FSSAI portal has all licenses details here : https://t.co/NMVt8MttDg Anyone can check licenses details of businesses in Regulatory portals . This info is available in public domain. SEBI Regulations call for listed cos mandatory reporting to SEBI on any adverse notices received from Regulators with in 24 hrs of receiving such a notice. SEBI Portal has to upload these disclosures made by listed companies in public domain. Couldn't locate any such disclosure by listed entities in the SEPI portal too. How can a common man find such caution alerts, public alerts, product recall alerts , warnings issued in the country ? We have a NSWS (National Single Window System) Portal which is developed to bring alignment betn all licenses, regulations, compliances in the country covering both financial and non financial systems under one platform. Can #Consumers in the country ask for one such a portal which lists all caution alerts, public advisories on products, services lapses on quality, safety, security grounds ? Why can't we have a single registry which captures both financial and non financial systems related lapses, warnings, caution notices at one place? Just wondering whom are the Regulators Protecting ultimately - Industry Or Consumers ?
