Darragh Canavan… ignores the mark to go for goal. Just right. Really is a load of rubbish, serves no useful purpose and def does not do what ‘they’ thought it would do. Were players ever consulted? #ForwardMark #BackwardStep #GAA

If a young Con was starting the game now, his coach would be telling him to stop when he catches the ball in a scoring area,is that how we want our young players to be coached? Horrible to watch as a spectator too #forwardmark

Really challenged to understand what the rule makers think the #forwardmark adds to our game? Much prefer seeing players with the instincts to go on rather than stop&put their hand in the air. It takes away from the core skills of our game to coach&watch -attack/defend 1v1 #GAA

What the fucking fuck!! I would love to know if @officialgaa actually asked 1 player their opinion in regards to the #forwardmark. Haven’t spoke to 1 person who thinks it a good idea. It’s a slow, cumbersome add on to a game which was starting to find its balance again.
