some really cool little secrets here, so many cool things people did with this game! #FOTHreveals
The final #Seyka route CG for @focusontheheart! I did the line art and background while @silketara did an absolutely stellar job on the character colors and effects. I remember nearly fainting when she returned the file to me.
#HorizonForbiddenWest #FothSeyka #Fothreveals
Two more CGs from @focusontheheart 's #Seyka route. I did the line art and backgrounds while @silketara did the character colors!
Seyka on the skiff is probably my personal favorite of the 6 we made!
#Fothreveals #FothSeyka #HorizonForbiddenWest #Aloy
Biblically Accurate Aloy #FOTHreveals
(Learning how to use the puppet sprites was REALLY cool and a HUGE shoutout to @nerd_artist_art for how she helped every artist on the team out with the process)
AND FINALLY our big bad...MALAVIIIID #FOTHreveals
then we've got some generic eclipse guys #FOTHreveals
one more little funny behind the scenes tidbit for @focusontheheart: the very first video i put together for the project to show the team what the engine looked like and some of its very basic capabilities, using old artworks i had of beta and meridian as a sacrifice #FOTHreveals
#FOTHreveals, writer edition! In the early stages of scripting, before we implemented expression codes for character sprites, writers indicated moods/expressions for each dialogue line with parentheticals.
some of my personal favorites from the Talanah route. @focusontheheart
Farewell to @focusontheheart ! Full view of my final kiss screenshot for the good ending to the #FOTHTalanah path :)) Thank you all for playing and supporting FOTH
#FOTHreveals
Had the pleasure of doing some CGs for @focusontheheart! First up, β106 Miles to Chicagoβ for the Alva route #FothReveals
the earliest version of the character select screen, where we were just trying to get it to work - definitely needed improvements at this point, but we were just happy it was functional! #FOTHreveals
the very first pass at the photo album screen! it's changed quite a bit from the alpha version #FOTHreveals
Some more behind the scenes stuff in this thread! First up, have some of the initial sketches for the Aloy and Beta sprites, which were used as placeholders while we worked out the paperdoll system (bonus: beta in aloy's armor and aloy stripped down to her base) #FOTHreveals
i'd also like to share this video of my initial coding pass at the riding animation that appears in the nil and petra routes - obviously i did NOT get the values for the movement even remotely close to what they were supposed to be and ended up with...this π₯΄ #FOTHreveals
AND last but not least "Sun and Shadow", the difficult to achieve kiss. i put a lil guy in the background as well and am very happy about that (: #FOTHreveals
Fifth is "A Double-Edged Sword", which was a fun exercise in action and movement!! #FOTHreveals
Fourth is virtually everyone's favorite "Awake and Alive" and honestly can't blame 'em i kinda went off on this one #FOTHreveals
Third is "Floating, Falling", which I'd say gave me the most trouble out of all of them - but i think eventually turned out well! #FOTHreveals
Up next is "The Gift", which in the coding is called nilhorsegirl at the request of @xhappyxendingsx! originally it was defined as nilsunwing but ofc i went and immediately changed it #FOTHreveals
