We urgently seek your intervention. Our friend, Adebayo Aliu @OriginalValid_ was reportedly apprehended by @PoliceNG and taken to an undisclosed location without any clear explanation.
No reason has been given for his arrest or the specific offence alleged. Officers reportedly stated only that “the case is not here, it is from Abuja,” and that they were acting on orders from above. No warrant of arrest was presented, and neither his family nor legal representatives were informed of any formal allegation before he was reportedly flown to Abuja.
Since Wednesday night, authorities have allegedly refused to disclose the offence for which he is being held.
We, his family, friends, and colleagues, demand transparency and due process. We appeal to @ParadigmHQ, @SERAPNigeria, @AmnestyNigeria, @InibeheEffiong, @adeyanjudeji, @FIJNigeria @AbimbolaShotayo @BenHundeyin to urgently look into this matter and help ensure his safety and the protection of his fundamental rights.
