JOHN BLACK – A SYMBOL OF OUR STRUGGLE FOR FREEDOM John Black is imprisoned in the Netherlands — not because he is a criminal, but because he dared to stand up against a bloody dictatorship.
He is behind bars for speaking the truth, for defending the voiceless, for refusing to bow to a regime that has enslaved an entire nation.
He is punished not for violence — but for courage. The world protects the dictator and his agents, while those who fight for freedom are branded as extremists.
What kind of justice is this?
The killers and enforcers of tyranny walk free in Europe, waving flags of propaganda — while the ones who cry “enough is enough” are locked in cells. John Black is not just one man.
He represents every Eritrean who lost everything — families torn apart, children stolen to serve in endless wars, mothers mourning their disappeared sons.
He speaks for the youth drowning in the Mediterranean, for the prisoners rotting in Eiraeiro, and for the silenced voices of a wounded nation. Let it be clear:
You can imprison one man, but you cannot imprison a people who have awakened.
You can silence one voice, but you cannot silence the truth. John Black fights for freedom, justice, and humanity — not hate.
To imprison him is to imprison hope itself.
But hope cannot die. Eritrea will rise again. We demand freedom now.
We demand justice now.
We demand protection for all who stand against the Eritrean dictatorship. #FreeJohnBlack
