At the #FrenchWeek2026 business forum, @ugandainvest's Director General @mukiza_robert highlighted Uganda’s opportunity to drive green industrialization, digital finance, and sustainable agriculture.
With most of Uganda’s electricity generated from renewable sources, the focus is on scaling investment in transmission and distribution, solar, clean cooking, e-mobility, green building materials, waste-to-value and carbon markets.
In agriculture, digital finance, mobile money, digital identity, satellite data and alternative credit scoring are opening new pathways to finance for smallholder farmers.
He outlined three ways @ugandainvest supports investors: facilitation, serviced industrial land, and aftercare.
His message to French investors: “You are welcome in Uganda. You are welcome in this house.”
