Time to go home πΆ A distinct change in the weather and the first time it rained since St Malo. Made for some rather nice atmospheric conditions as we left the harbour though 1/3 π§΅

Bourges breakfast in the park - pastries from a lovely bakery. Then on to Dinan, an afternoon wander down the steep cobbled street to the old port, beer and ices in a cafe garden by the river and an evening meal of galettes π

A last look around the fortified city of Carcassonne, then started back through France, with an exciting drive over the Millau Viaduct - a mile and and a half long and over a thousand feet high! π

More Carcassonne exploration with a walk around the outer city walls - amazingly varied architecture.
Then a walk along the Aude and across it via the "Old Bridge" to Bastide Saint-Louis, the "new town" only built in the 13th century! ... 1/2 π§΅
