#FridayNightRed 🍷 Malamado Fortified Malbec. I'll be enjoying this fortified Argentinian Malbec with some good cheese. It’s packed with flavours of chocolate, blueberry, dried fig, sweet spice and nuts. 2 years ageing in oak has softened the wine making it dangerously drinkable.

#FridayNightRed 🍷 Louis Guntrum Pinot Noir 2020. This wine delivers plenty of ripe red fruit flavour supported by characteristic firm acidity. One for Pinot lovers everywhere and great with a Friday night pizza or bowl of pasta. Available from Waitrose, on offer at £11.99.

#FridayNightRed 🍷 Winbirri Signature Red 2018, @Winbirri Vineyard, Norfolk. The hot 2018 summer helped Winbirri’s Dornfelder reach optimum ripeness and the result is this smart, plush, plummy red with a layer of spicy, roasty, toasty oak flavour.

#FridayNightRed 🍷 This wine is made from old vines which produce super-concentrated fruit so you get an incredibly deep, inky wine with layers of black cherry and bramble fruit, roasted coffee, cocoa nibs and spicy oak. It’s full-bodied with a heart-warming 14.5% alcohol.

#FridayNightRed 🍷 Wynns Coonawarra Estate Shiraz 2019. This is my ‘go to’ Shiraz. It’s silky smooth and the 2019 vintage is drinking wonderfully now. This is a premium Shiraz at not such a premium price. That’s Friday night sorted! (Available from @majesticwine for £9.99)

#FridayNightRed: Jacob’s Creek Double Barrel Shiraz 2018 The intense, inky colour hints at the ripe red & brambly black fruit that hits you on the nose. Unusually this wine is aged twice, 1st in an oak barrel and then in a scotch whisky barrel. (Stocked in supermarkets for £12)

🍷 #FridayNightRed: Vitese Nero D’Avola 2021 DOC Sicilia, Sicily A spice-laden red, filling the mouth with sweet black cherry, and the tannins are ripe and soft. Perfect as the nights draw in, sat on the sofa with a few chunks of posh dark chocolate. (£10 from Melville & Mayell)

It’s #fridaynightred time, and this #dugrappin Côte du Rhône from the wonderful @legrappin & @MrsPugster is lovely, really lovely. It’s a super Grenache, lots of tasty fresh fruit but showing gorgeous savoury notes 👌🏼🍷🍇 #winelover #DrinkBetterWine #alwaystimeforaglassofwine
