My goodness the haters in the UK are outdoing themselves. First, they turn and hate on Harry for his military record for which they hailed him as a hero years ago... then they freak out over a chicken, Then they try to convince us that the Queen was an evil racist old biddy who hated her favourite grandchild's children.... boy oh boy. The name business is probably one of the stupidest things. Allow me to enlighten a few of you in regard to this foolish name nonsense since you can't seem to do any research on your own. First Harry and the Queen had a discussion years before he met Meghan that he wanted to have a daughter and name her Lilibet Diana. It was widely reported in the press at the time and the Queen was quoted as saying it was a great name for a little girl. Second, the Queen told Andrew to change Beatrice's name when he originally said he wanted to name her Annabel. So she would have said the same to Harry if there was an issue and third and most importantly... have you all forgotten the frigging history of the Royals? They are all named after each other. Exhibit A... - Queen Elizabeth Alexandra Mary (Queen of England) named after her mother Queen Elizabeth (nee Bowes-Lyons of Scotland), Her grandmother Princess Alexandra of Denmark, and her Grandmother Queen Mary of Teak. -King Charles Phillip Arthur George (King of England son of Elizabeth and Phillip) Named after King Charles I and II, His father Prince Phillip of Greece, King Arthur the legendary king of England, and King George his grandfather (Prince Albert) and father of Queen Elizabeth. - Princess Anne Elizabeth Alice Louise (Princess Royal) named after her Mother Queen Elizabeth, Princess Alice her grandmother and Princess Louise Similar name situation for Andrew and Edward named after grandfathers, extended family members and King Edward VIII. Archie is short for Archibald a Scottish name which is a tribute to Scotland and Harry's childhood spent at Balmoral. Harrison means Harry's son and is a direct tribute to his father Prince Harry. The fact is everyone in the family is named after someone else in the family. Harry named his daughter after two of the most important women in his life whom he wanted to honour. His mother Diana and his grandmother Queen Elizabeth whom he was very close to and who played a pivotal role in his life after his mother's death. William also named his daughter Elizabeth Diana effectively keeping Harry from using those names or their two daughters would have the exact same name. Lilibet was an obvious alternative and one that Harry had wanted for years, long before he met Meghan and long before Charlotte was born. The Queen knew this because Harry also expressed that Lili would be her nickname and he loved the name Lili. She was quoted as saying it was a great name for a little girl. The British press widely reported on it at the time and the articles are all over the internet if you just google it. Most importantly. No one owns the name Lilibet. It's a common name used for Elizabeth in Wales. Harry is Prince Henry of Wales so also a tribute in a way. Harry is entitled to use whatever name he wants for HIS child... because it's HIS child and it affects him his wife and his child. No one else has any business commenting or sticking their nose into it. It doesn't affect anyone's life but theirs. It won't change your taxes, or your job, reverse Brexit or get rid of the cost of living crisis. Imagine if people who you didn't know stuck their nasty comments and ugly noses into your name or the names of your children. No one has any reason to say anything about it.. so stop acting like you own Harry and his children and he has to obey you....mind your own business, focus on your own damn family and get on with your life.
