@UK_MTO has reported constant GPS signal disruptions and spoofing in the Persian Gulf waters, but I think that the collision could also have happened due to a lack of proper watchkeeping and an excess of reliance on electronic navigation instead of visual practices in a crossing situation at sea (See COLREG - Rules of the road, R15) btn´ both tankers.

¿Estamos ante una mala aplicación del COLREG en su regla 15, situación de cruce entre dos buques de propulsión mecánica?
En uno de los videos, el FRONTEAGLE, tiene en su banda de estribor al ADALYNN, eso lo convierte en el buque que cede el paso, o que debe maniobrar, para evitar la colisión. ¿Lo hizo tarde? Tenemos batalla jurídica por la proa.
En el post anterior, di por hecho que iría en condición de carga, pero su francobordo evidencia que está en lastre, lo cual minimiza el riesgo de marea negra en la zona.
En los servidores AIS, ambos buques aparecen aún con señal AIS. El VLCC FRONT EAGLE, tras la colisión, continuó navegando rumbo N, mientras el ADALYNN parece haber salido peor parado del abordaje, y estaría a la deriva incendiado.
La teoría de una acción de Spoofing, o electronic warfare Made in Iran, no suena muy creíble, pese a algún report de @UK_MTO al respecto. Me inclino por una mala guardia de mar, y navegación deficiente.

This is the first footage of the burning Suezmax ADALYNN's port quarter.
In one of the videos, the tanker FRONT EAGLE has the ADALYNN on her starboard side. This makes her the vessel that must give way, or the one that must alter her course to avoid collision. Did it do too late?
In the previous post, I assumed She was loaded, but her freeboard indicates She was in ballast, which minimizes the risk of an oil slick in the area.
On the AIS servers, both vessels appear adrift at very low speed over the ground. The VLCC FRONT EAGLE, after the collision, continued dead slow ahead Northbound, while the ADALYNN appears to have fared worse after the collision.
The theory of spoofing or electronic warfare (See last @UK_MTO report) made in Iran doesn't sound very credible to me, and I would opt for poor watchkeeping or navigation.

Tal vez sea este el primer episodio serio de un accidente de la Flota fantasma que haga despertar a muchos, incluida la administración marítima española.

El ADDALYN también iría en condición de carga, destino a Suez, con no menos de 1.000.000 de barriles de crudo cargado en Khor Al Fakkan (UAE). Ambos navegaban hacia mar abierto.
Veremos si hay contaminación, y los detalles del salvage in progress.

We will see if there is a serious pollution, and the details of the salvage in progress.
