If you ignore all properties of #money but the ones that allow it to be "grouped and divided": 'unit of account', '#divisibility', and '#fungability', you could be tempted to call #Bitcoin "a database". This denies the other properties, most importantly 'immutability'.
#Bitcoin does not need to be 100% perfectly fungible, like #XMR . There are degrees of #fungability and not all aspects are important.
#Monero #XMR is trying to fix a #fungability problem that doesn't need to be fixed. This is a problem that #Bitcoin or #LightningNetwork can fix later, but only if necessary. Probably wont need to. Pure fungability comes at a cost in the other properties of money.
