Sports in Kansas is excited to welcome Sophie Smith to the 2024 state track and field coverage team. “Hey everyone! I’m Sophie Smith! I am a Garden Plain High School graduate and I’m currently a Sophomore at Kansas State University! I am the Sideline Reporter for K-State athletics on ESPN+ and I also work for our student run news station, Channel 8 News. I was very involved in athletics in high school and I am so excited to help cover this years State Track Meet! Smith will serve as the lead reporter for all championship athletes at the 2024 meet.
