Many thanks to @Archidub1 for this B&W family picture on the left. I'm haunted by it.
I can't be 100% but I think this may be the Gormley family. They were I believe recorded in the 1911 Census as the last family living in Hoey's Court, just prior to its demolition c.1913.
Grading #GY501 MA student research papers and learning plenty. One paper looking at continuity and change in #Derry's Bogside #streetscapes includes this great photo of old and new.

Sounds excellent @JonMarkCherry special relevance for our #GY501 students #UrbanHistory #HistoricalGeography #Derry
I've been working on an @ahrcpress funded research project @UlsterUni over the last couple of years, and we're now at the stage where we're starting to see the fruits of our labour. The project now has a website https://t.co/qhcM4YEmXg where you can view info and outputs 1/5
One of my drier #FieldtripMemories with @JonMarkCherry and our #GY501 crew inside #DublinCityHall #GeoAdvent #LoveGeography photo from Noel Carolan @DCUHist_Geog

@JonMarkCherry some great images here for our #GY501 landscapes module with the Masters students @DCUHist_Geog
This 1753 engraving of the old Customs House, Dublin, after a view by Joseph Tudor can now be viewed in minute detail at the Rijksmuseum website. The area depicted is today's Wellington Quay, Grattan Bridge and Ormond Quay Lower.

#maps #historicphotos #Dublin What's not to love! Very nice resource for #GY306 and #GY501 students in particular @JonMarkCherry
@JonMarkCherry as discussed during our #GY501 #fieldtrip. Mary Clark's chapter in Leaders of the City considers the #commemoration of Dan's mayoralty, including this #statue @FourCourtsPress @DCLAReadingRoom
Fascinating continuity - something we discussed with our #GY501 students - and once again highlighting the importance of #maps @RMcMNow @JonMarkCherry #historicmaps
@LilasBlue1 @irarchaeology One of our recent observations on #fieldwork with the MA History students taking #GY501 was how the two Dublin cathedrals were 'enhanced' to look more medieval during the late 19th century...
Take a spin around the Medieval city of Dublin, with Dublinia, housed on the former site of the church of St. Michael, right in the heart of it all. @VisitDublin #lovedublin

@JackmanNeil @HistIreHedge @rte We were down this way with the MA #GY501 students last week, so sorry we didn't take a peek @jonmarkcherry. Nice article to supplement the discussion of early Dublin #lovearchaeology #historicalgeography
