An article insinuating Pakistan halting Iran gas piplline project was published in Indian publication “The Wire”. As usual a paricular political party and liberals in Pakistan saw it as an opportunity to malign the state and its institutions. The contents were proliferated without checking the veracity. No such move is being undertaken. Since the opening of Gabd terminal and trade with Iran, certain elements and states are perturbed by enhanced regional connectivity and Pak increased economic options. In desperation, they are spreading cobweb of lies, but their efforts will fail since the decisions will always be guided by the interest of the state of Pak and not by anything else.
