Q2/A2 #galesedchat It doesn't feel creative but I am allowing students to turn things in anyway they can reach me. Phone, text, email, and even a few in person. In addition, I have opened up science labs and ss assignments for them to show me how they can apply to Covid.

A2: In PE I have given them journal entries each week with different prompts. Both Fitness classes this week have to create their own paradise. They can draw, sketch, or make a collage of pictures, of what their own personal paradise looks like. #GalesEdChat

A1: I have created a YouTube channel and posted 20 min no equipment needed workouts.This weeks written assignment they are creating their own island. Next week they are drawing their dreams. We are getting creative this month in Fitness #GalesEdChat

#GalesEdChat A1: #Art Ts collaborated w me on choice boards for Ss to select based on supplies on hand. Lots of materials used in new ways: makeup, hot choc, & @koolaid painting; PVC and @theduckbrand tape soccer keeper, misc metal and wire sculpture

I like the openness of assignments- letting Ss truly be artists. Found that Classes I already had tech in place for I’m seeing higher responses. Feedback and responding w:o grades. It’s made me also fight for the importance of our rolls in school. #galesedchat

Often “no shows” responded to my inquiries of well-being (with no mention of school) by turning in assignments. Many times Ss say Thanks for caring.
From Edweek - I think offering Grace is a huge thing. I know how to teach online, I know how to help my kids. But some kids aren't made for online. One of mine, even long before this, has always disliked reading/questions/tests on the computer. #GalesEdChat @MrWellsScience

I have loved connecting to my Ss on Zoom and have had some little chats through Google Classroom. The volume of Ss I can reach saddens me. Im@preppi g a bit for next year too and trying out Padlet #galesedchat
A2: I've been using @Google Classroom as my LMS, @Flipgrid for Ss to give presentations, @zoom_us for daily meetings with students and to make videos to "replace" direct instruction. I use @instagram Live as a way to answer quick questions about whats due that day. #GalesEdChat
