In June 2024, then in March 2025, Forbidden Stories coordinated the #GazaProject, gathering more than 50 journalists from 18 media outlets. We investigated the targeting of several Gazan reporters and media buildings by Israeli forces.
We took forward the unfinished reporting of Palestinian journalists who were killed or injured in both Gaza and the West Bank. We also revealed the Israeli governmentâs strategies to exonerate itself of any responsibility in the deaths of these journalists.

đAmsterdam â World Press Photo Exhibition â 3 days left
Weâre proud to be part of the @WorldPressPhoto flagship exhibition in Amsterdam â for the second year in a row. This year, our 9-minute documentary from the #GazaProject is being shown, telling the story of Palestinian journalist Fadi Al-Wahidi, who was shot in the neck while wearing his press vest and is now paralyzed.
â ïž Since October 7, 2023, more than 200 journalists have been killed in Gaza. Fadi is among those injured while reporting.
Our investigation does two things:
1ïžâŁ It reconstructs the targeted attack that left Fadi paralyzed.
2ïžâŁ It pursues the reporting on Jabalia he could no longer finish.
đïž The exhibition runs until this Sunday, September 21, at the Nieuwe Kerk in Amsterdam.
đ This documentary will also soon be shown in Spanish at a World Press Photo partner center in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
