All studies that dismissed patients who had been exposed to different brands have inherent flaws: These studies do not examine the complications of gadolinium in general. Instead, these studies create an artificial theater in which untested brands are favored to win. Weak evidence and flawed observational studies persuaded some nephrologists to endorse certain brands of magnetic resonance imaging contrast agents. Now, nephrologists are urgently consulted to employ prophylactic hemodialysis for gadolinium, as if our medical teams are admitting that they made a mistake.
