We launched #GirlsMakingTech in South Africa last year. It’s a pilot project to introduce students to coding using the micro:bit. Watch this video, in celebration of International Day of Women and Girls in Science. Our vision is to inspire the next generation of young innovators.

"This is a fitness watch for children" says Precious, a Grade 8 student at Brakpan High School. She describes what her @microbit_edu invention can do, "It shows animations of exercises. It also counts your steps and reminds you to drink water every three hours."
