This simple and peaceful act of waving a headscarf in public has landed her in prison today. Her name is Hamraz Sadeghi. Her crime? Joining the #GirlsOfRevolutionStreet campaign to protest against compulsory hijab laws in Iran. I wonder if #GirlsofRevolutionStreet are watching some girls in India protesting for their right to wear hijab! Women risk their freedom & lives to protest against hijab in strict Islamic nations while political agendas in a democracy like India push for hijab! Maybe swap places?

Yesterday she enjoyed the wind in her hair on her bicycle and today she got arrested by the authorities in Iran. Why? Because she is a woman and in my beautiful country Iran riding a bicycle or being unveiled make us criminals in the eyes of “Ayatollahs”. ISIS is still in power😞
