‼️Please read and share‼️ According to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine: The terrorist attack on the Kakhovska HPP left without a water source: • 94% of the irrigation systems in the Kherson region • 74% in the Zaporizhia region • 30% in the Dnipropetrovsk region The destruction of the dam might lead to the fields in the southern Ukraine turning into deserts as early as next year! This man-made disaster will also have devastating consequences for the fish. The spawning period just ended, and once the water retreats, the spawn will dry out. In addition, the animal life that lived in the 832 sq mile Kakhovska reservoir, carried away by the water flow into the floodplains will also die once the flood waters retreat and they are left on dry land. Another problem will be the death of freshwater fish and other species in the salty waters of the Black Sea. In turn, the Black Sea fauna can also die from the massive influx of fresh water. These are just preliminary estimates... The scale of the ecological catastrophe that awaits Ukraine is currently unknown.
