It was a pleasure to address #ASSOCHAM thematic session of the 3rd #GlobalValueChainMeet, titled "Envisioning India’s Global Partnership for Future & Investment,” #ViksitBharat@2047 calls for participation at all levels and by all sections. It’s a vision for us all as Indians.
During the second thematic session of the 3rd #GlobalValueChainMeet, titled "Envisioning India’s Global Partnership for Future & Investment,” Mr. Sanjeet Singh, Senior Advisor, NITI Aayog, presented key insights. He highlighted the PM’s vision for India to emerge as an advanced economy and the world’s third-largest globally by 2047. Key focus areas for achieving this goal include investments in education, healthcare, infrastructure, social development, structural reforms, and digital technology.
Commerce and Industry Joint Secretary, Surendra Ahirwar addresses the 3rd #GlobalValueChainMeet in New Delhi; Stresses that India’s economic progress depends on the advancement of its digital, physical, and phygital (physical plus digital) infrastructure.
He says that the allocation of more than Rs 11 lakh crore for the industry and doubling capital expenditure to 3.4% of GDP in the recently presented #UnionBudget is a promising sight for the sector.
The 3rd #GlobalValueChainMeet began with a lamp-lighting ceremony, setting the stage for discussions on "Empowering India’s Manufacturing Competitiveness." Shri Vinod Pandey, Chairman, #ASSOCHAM Manufacturing Council, delivered an inspiring welcome address, emphasizing India’s position as a top-performing global economy with robust #GDP growth. He highlighted the need for sustained growth at 8-9% to maintain momentum and underscored how the #MakeinIndia initiative is driving #manufacturing investments and encouraging healthy competition among states.
