Final task of the day, preparing some wannabe #Goatisans, to seek out their older mentors who will induct them into the #Goatisan way of life which includes partying and being a bad but good natured influence on the other cheeses.
Seem to be doing this on a weekly basis, more new #Goatisans to play with and be inducted into the #Goatisan dorm.
Very happy and content #Goatisans now that they have plenty of new companions and my smiling permission to have a big 'welcome new cheeses' induction party this weekend. Am still, after all these years trying to wrangle myself an invite.
A very multi-tasking sort of day today: orders, maturing now back to waxing.
Here are some very young #Goatisans to be. They don't know how to be naughty yet but give them a couple of months with their older brothers & sisters, they will learn & will pass it on to the next gen
Some #OriginalSheep in vibrant red sharing a table with some halves of #SmokedSuperiorGoat cheese, looking very pretty and making friends with their sheepy cousins. Already some dates arranged for the #Goatisans next ball which is apparently going to be a very glitzy affair.
Some new #Goatisans added to the maturing room today. I have been a bit naughty and added it to the bottom shelf because the top shelf is too high for me to reach the back of.
Time to say goodnight. The #Goatisans share their latest selfie, they are having a late welcome to 2022 party for their new companions in the maturing rooms.

An afternoon of cheese maturing whilst chatting to my cheesemaker friend Simon @WeardaleCheese who was waxing cheese & sent me a picture of a tame #Peacock on the same estate as his dairy, came to his door, begging for scraps.

Another maturing room scrubbed, cleaned and tidied. The #Goatisans are very happy, proud of their cleaned out dorm and are asking for more new friends. Two down, one to go.
Some very polite and mild mannered #OriginalGoat, newly robed and feeling very noble. They are such good, well behaved cheeses, unlike their naughty cousins, the #Goatisans.
Some very lonely #Goatisans, crying out for new trainee #Goatisan cousins. They are right, they do need some new companions. I will get on it, later in the week. I think this puts me in a strong bargaining position, what promises should I try and extract from them, I wonder.
Some polite, well mannered #OriginalGoat limbering up, practicing their acrobatics skills. The ever naughty #Goatisans have entered them into the 2022 Acrobatic Cheese Awards.
Well, it is that time. It's a goodnight from me & a goodnight from these very naughty #Goatisans. Yesterday, when the door got stuck, they were very excited at maybe partying in #Hawes and today, they got a quick glimpse of the pretty moon.

Here are the last naughty #Goatisans standing. I may have got it right, for once, maybe, for how many we needed by the end of the year. In Jan, their abode, the place of many a memorable party will be given a good old springclean & they will have some new siblings to lead astray.
Taken the decision not to mature any of these little beasties, not yet, at least, #GoudaGold so by way of compromise, I agreed to get them all a nice rub and turned them. Think they are still suffering the after effects of the naughty #Goatisans welcome new cheese party.
Almost time to go home. Spent all afternoon entertaining these little beasties, ever naughty #Goatisans. In exchange for tummy rubs, they said they would be good.

Well, this is going to be fun! The existing #Goatisans are being very rambunctious, quivering with excitement and anticipation of their new friends, who can be led astray very easily. I wonder if I could gatecrash their weekend party.
