How ironic, debt collectors like #GoodLeap are using A.I to go after their customers, from automated messages, emails, and phone calls, it seems these people just don't get what is going on.
People can't afford to pay their bills, not because they are making bad financial decisions in life, but because the system we are currently in, is collapsing under it's own weight. Technology and A.I and automation is rapidly transforming the landscape forcing people out of jobs that used to be done by a human.
Wages and salaries are not increasing with inflation, but Rich elite CEO's are getting far far richer in life. They are hoarding more than ever in their lives.
People who go into debt, have used the money for basic services, and survival needs, and repairs either to homes or automobiles. They aren't just going to Vegas and gambling the money away. Or buying that brand new Iphone.
Sure there are a few out there, that waste their money, on boos and drugs, and gambling, and useless trinkets. But most people today are doing the best they can with what little they have. They are now making cuts, but it's hard to make cuts when your grocery bill doubles, or your energy bill triples in the winter time, or your property taxes jumps $200 to $1000 more. Or your rent jumps another $500 a month due to a very greedy landlord.
People are being priced out of living. So we turn to credit cards to survive on and loans. When we can't pay back those loans they blame us, and point the finger at us for missing payments. The rich billionaires and millionaires blame the poor people, and call us the problem. But at some point when A.I and Automation eliminates jobs at a fast rate, new jobs won't pop up like before, or be created.
By 2030, over 60% will be unemployed due to A.I that is the current trend. I once predicted 2025 being 50%, but i was off by 5 years or so. I forget how slow people are to change and how much they try to hold on to the old ways of doing business, the old ways of jobs and the 9 to 5.
Currently at my job, the company doesn't like hiring new people, yet they have their employees doing twice the work, and working long stressful hours to make up for the people who left. This means they don't want to fire anyone or let people go quite yet. But at some point, sales will drop so low that this will all change. Also robots and A.I are slowly coming into our company, we've had robots before but, they were taken by Amazon, so they got exclusivity rights to them. Which sure kept our company in business longer and they had to adapt and change things.
But now what we see in China, warehouses are becoming completely and fully automated, run by maybe 2 to 5 workers at most. This is going to happen in America, at some point and my guess is within 2 to 3 years maximum.
We already have automated self driving trucks delivering cargo across the country. So say good bye to truck drivers in 5 years. Which truck drivers need rest, needs insurance, needs vacation time, need trained etc.. While an automated robot truck needs none of that. The only thing it needs is energy to top off. That is it, and maybe new tires from time to time.
Getting back to my main point, banks and loan finance companies, really are not realizing how bad this economy is, and it's going to get 100 times worse. They don't realize people won't have a flow of income to pay the debt they owe. Like me, as my bank account shrinks slowly, i have to put my focus on my mortgage water, and energy bills. They are most important than ever. My company used to hand out raises like 2 to 3 times a year just to keep up with the competition, now we are lucky to see a 10 cent raise every other 2 to 3 years.
The only solution to this, is Universal Premium Income for all by the Government. If they ever get off their asses and start doing something about this, time is ticking and A.I isn't slowing down, it isn't taking breaks, or long vacations like our government does. I know, not everyone is on board with a UBI. They are stuck in the old ways of thinking. But eventually we will have no other choice.
