We are proud to announce the supercomputer #Fugaku has maintained its position as the #top-performing system worldwide for eight consecutive terms in multiple renowned high-performance computer rankings, including #HPCG and #Graph500 BFS.
Developed jointly by RIKEN @riken_en and Fujitsu, Fugaku has also achieved fourth place in the TOP500 ranking and third place in the HPL-MxP ranking. The results of these rankings were recently unveiled at the #SC23, the esteemed International Conference for High Performance Computing, Networking, Storage, and Analysis, taking place this week in Denver, Colorado, US.
Some notable achievements of #Fugaku include:
💡 Graph500 Triumph: Fugaku, in collaboration with RIKEN, Kyushu University, Fixstars, NTT, and Fujitsu, has established a new record with an impressive 138,867 gigaTEPS.
💡 Performance Metrics: Fugaku exhibits remarkable performance in HPCG, achieving 16.00 petaflops, and ranks at 442.01 petaflops in the TOP500 (LINPACK) ranking, as well as 2.004 exaflops in the HPL-MxP ranking.
Fugaku continues to make a tangible impact in various fields, such as life sciences, disaster prevention, energy, manufacturing, basic science, and socioeconomic applications, since its initial trial use in April 2020.
Furthermore, Fujitsu's cloud-based HPC solution, Fujitsu Computing as a Service (#CaaS), was launched in Japan in October 2022, democratizing access to advanced computing resources based on Fugaku, the quantum-inspired Digital Annealer, and AI.
