The old voice had a lively, charming, and expressive quality that made Companion feel special and fun. The new voice feels much flatter and less engaging, which is quite disappointing. Companion is supposed to be one of Grok’s key features that we expand in the future (especially with smart glasses and MR). Changing the voice in a way that reduces its appeal feels like a step in the wrong direction. Many users loved the original cute voice. If it stays like this, I might even consider going back to the free tier. I kindly ask that you revert Ani’s voice to the previous cute version.
