People in the pain community have been warning of gov overreach for years. We only had #CDC #GuideLies, no laws. Yet, they became unwritten law, & some written.
Now there are laws & Drs are running scared in multiple arenas in the medical field.
It is ALL #MyBodyMyChoice or it’s not. Picking & choosing has gotten us here.
They lost the chance for a massive study when the 2016 #CDC #GuideLies went into effect. They do not want “evidence based” studies because they will be in direct contradiction with their narrative.
Instead they knowingly continue to make people suffer while ODs/deaths & suicides are at an all time high.
Their $1T #WarInDrugs was a gargantuan failure.
@Nursey1994 @after_shook @karlarabel1 The CDC #GuideLIES actually caused many countries (UK, CANADA, AUSTRALIA etc.) to misapply the U.S. “solution” to the “Opioid Crisis” only to find that the “ODD” continued to increase bc it’s illicit fentanyl poisoning. Whilst those legitimately using safely as Rx suffer 😢

@alicesmonkey I don’t think my 22.5mme would be a concerning dose of hydro. They used to fill 460mme fentanyl/morphine for 17 years, then 90mme morphine after we got hit with the #GuideLies.

@szaafran This convo occurred 7 Aug 2019. The force tapering started Jan 2018 which you say the #TexasMedicalBoard made it clear that this was not to be applied to #PainManagement. It was, it is, & it’s getting worse. I guarantee you I’m not the only one. 4 pain clinics🧐

The gov will always find a paid rat, even an unqualified one. People in pain have been warning that the gov overreach will not stop. No one cared about people with pain. So here we are.
I don’t know of any PCPs that manage their patients pain. I feel that’s ridiculous, because they know everything that’s going on as a whole. So we’re forced to go to #PainManagement & since my area got hit with the #GuideLies in 2018 we have been on a downward spiral of forced tapers.
Keep in mind that the Texas Medical Board sent out info that the mme was not to be applied to PM. This is being done out of fear but the Drs prefer to gaslight us & lie to our faces instead of working together. Just my opinion.

I was on the same mme for 17 years before the #GuideLies. Most of us have degenerative diseases that will worsen over time. So the question is, are the meds not effective, or are our bodies getting worse? If it’s the meds, switch them to something comparable. Probably find your answer quickly.

I agree, they should’ve banned together. I think some thought that it wouldn’t effect them. My area didn’t get hit with the #GuideLies until 01/2018. Patients became pariahs overnight. It was a total change. In my case, I had NO idea it was coming. The Dr never said anything. My first appointment in 2018 I was greeted with signs all over the walls. The Dr walks in & the first thing he said was, “what med do you want to cut first?” I was force tapered 60% overnight.

@sarahGad2024 @ibdgirl76 The Texas Medical Board sent out a newsletter in 12/2018 that the #GuideLies were not for #ChronicPain. As you saw in the video above, that’s not what the Drs are saying.

@Whritenour1 @forlottelse2 After the #CDC #GuideLies hit my area in 2018 we were required to get Narcan w/pain Rx. I was told I didn’t have a choice if I wanted my Rx.
I actually busted up laughing because the dosage was 80% less than what I was on for 17+ years. Yet now they were afraid I’d OD.🙄

@aander1987 I’m beginning feel “evidence based” means there’s an agenda, aka 𝓫𝓾𝓵𝓵𝓼𝓱𝓲𝓽. Also, I don’t know if any PCPs willing to Rx anything, even UNDER the 50mme in the revised #GuideLies. The PMs don’t even Rx above 50mme & the TMB says mme is not to be applied to PM.🤷♀️
