GM $REMIT fam! We’ve once again seen rounds of FUD going around, and in usual fashion, we’re going to debunk them again. It seems we can’t go a few days without someone choosing a new angle to FUD us from. This time, it is people that read meaning into Etherscan transactions they are unable to understand, or just plainly do not understand how to use Etherscan. The latest FUD attempt is because of our marketing wallet. The uninformed thread writer has assumed there are 3 wallets in the BlockRemit Ecosystem, but there are only two wallets: Our marketing and developer wallets. Our marketing wallet can be found publicly here: 0x9eEC422f9223f67F304196269c4db94fAd70d72F or by typing the command “/mw” in our telegram group. This safe, secure wallet receives deposits from our hardcoded marketing wallet, which the uninformed thread writer called our “developer wallet”. The thread writer says that we are “lining our pockets” with the proceeds from the hard coded marketing wallet (because it holds no funds currently), whereas in reality we are simply sending funds from the old wallet to the new, more secure, public wallet. So, we’ll like to state on the record that the accusations of us “siphoning” marketing funds are FALSE. We have simply been sending them to a new wallet which is a lot safer than the old one. We realize that fighting baseless FUD like this from a community that hates BlockRemit because it is a more than viable competitor to their favorite project is an uphill battle, but we will continue to debunk their baseless claims and offer transparent answers to them. We are here for the long run, and the journey is just beginning!
