@onisillos @TAEscmid @TheLancetHIV Fantastic study and certainly gives HIV Prevention providers/patients more confidence. But for those with very infrequent exposures (1-4 per year) or who cannot anticipate an exposure 2-24 hours ahead, HIV PEP-in-Pocket ("PIP") is an option. https://t.co/ScDuWqEz3r #HIVPIP

4. We have used PIP for years, (I think I started my first patient in 2015/16). It works well for carefully selected patients. PIP also provides more granular HIV prevention options beyond traditional PEP, daily PrEP & on-demand PrEP. @HIVGov #HIVPIP @CDC_HIVAIDS #PrEP #HIVPrEP

2. What is PIP? We PROACTIVELY provide selected patients who have ~1-4 HIV exposures per year with a 28 day prescription of PEP, fill the script, and counsel when/if to initiate the medications. Pts come to clinic within a week if PIP started for labs #HIVprevention #PrEP #HIVPIP
