National security has become a "fund raising" event for the #HKPoliceState. The more people they arrest (guilty or not), the more fund it gets.
A very Chinese style "fund raising" indeed.

Hong Kong's national security police have raided two independent bookstores, made several arrests, and seized books, according to SCMP.
One of the stores, Have a Nice Stay, had announced its closure on Tuesday. The other was Greenfield Bookstore (Mong Kok)

Evil #CCP promised HKers "Horse racing and dancing will go on". But now HKers can't protest, bookstores are closed, we dare not to talk, only the #HKPoliceState enjoys freedom of speech. This is what #OneCountryTwoSystems brings to HK.
Sigh.

Five years ago today, 12 June 2019, 612, the anti-extradition bill proposed by Carrie Lam’s regime goes to LegCo for a second reading.
The popos deployed their special velociraptors. Year gas and pepper spray.
Photos I collected from that day.
Never forget.

The Hong Kong government is proposing new subsidiary legislation which would clarify when a criminal case should be treated as a national security case, even when the charge is not one of the obvious offences listed in the NSL or Article 23

Normal for an unelected regime that constantly makes up charges and delays trials to punish innocent people that do not support it.

HKGov proposes new "subsidiary legislation" to National Security laws. Under the new rule, the Chief Executive may define any criminal act to be treated as a nat-sec offence, including the case being brought in front of a hand-picked nat-sec judge and extended pretrial detention.
