Congratulations to artist Jeffrey Gibson, who was recently named one of the 2019 MacArthur Foundation Fellows! Gibson's work "WHAT DO YOU WANT? WHEN DO YOU WANT IT?" (2016) is in the #HMAPermanentCollection and currently on view.

The Hood Museum of Art would like to extend our condolences to the family and friends of Nyumi Nungurrayi, who recently passed. Nungurrayi’s “Parwalla” (2000) has been on view at the museum since we reopened in late January, and in #HMAPermanentCollection since 2009.

#HMABehindTheScenes: Splish splash, the Kiki Smith sculpture is taking a bath! This week, conservators from the Williamstown Art Conservation Center cleaned outdoor sculptures in the #HMAPermanentCollection, including Kiki Smith's "Refuge" (2014) in Maffei Arts Plaza.
