There are 2 separate caches that make up the #HTTPCache .
- proxy cache
- browser cache
The proxy cache is the cache controlled by a reverse proxy (a web server that forwards requests to your main server and performs other tasks like HTTP compression and SSL termination)
When we get to discussing caching on the back-end, we will talk a bit more about "cache invalidation" / "eviction policies" and all.
For now, as we discuss things like "cache-busting" and "cache-revalidation". We won't talk about these just yet.
