During his plea, #Hadef_Alowais said that his position as a member of #UAE's Judicial Authority was disregarded, adding "Does Sheikh Khalifa allow a member of JA to be beaten? Chief Prosecutor didn't know my whereabouts, which means that my arrest & everything follows is void"

During the trial, #Hadef_Alowais stated that his arrest was issued on info. obtained under torture & that he was blindfolded & he was pushed off, indicating that he was placed in an illegal place; although a warrant was issued to take him to #Alwathba_prison, he was not there.

Dr. #Hadef_Alowais was a pioneer of law in every sense, a prominent academic in @UAEU_NEWS. He represented his country in many legal and arbitration forums; All this did not prohibit #UAE authorities from arresting him because he was an HRD.

This is how Moza remembers her father, #Hadef_Alowais, sitting on his lap when she was three years old, hoping to embrace him after prisons deprived him of her for 9 years.
