@Kd9Njj @LongIslandCW No doubt, I was just thinking in term of milestones. I had my first solo #sota CW contact (thanks to @NJ7V_ ) and my first #SOTA cw activation last year. POTA and a #cw #pota activation this year. #HAMgoals

@thetechprepper1 @NJ7V_ Makes sense, now that I'm working from home four days a week I enjoy the ability to occasionally chase those lucky weekday activators. I should really do some (non-sota) field operations, maybe that will be on next years #HAMgoals list. 😎👍 #optoutside #FieldOps #getitdone

Question: Has anyone here done a #sota activation on #catalinaisland if so are there any major considerations? One of my #HAMgoals for 2021 is to do something #HAMCool and doing a activation on an island may just qualify IMHO. Thoughts?

@thetechprepper1 I'll be running 2m also unless I get a break in the rain, then I'll try 20m. It's early in the year yet, plenty of S2S opportunities to come. I just to stay on track for my #HAMgoals for the year. ⛰😎👍

@ataribill @wG0AT Yeah, @wG0AT Steve is pretty great that way. I have him in the log and I'm not good enough (today) to get my #cw on a summit yet. That is on my #2021 #HAMgoals list. Heck I may even get a S2S with him. Lol... ⛰😎👍

My #HamGoals this year is to find the time to learn morse code, set a shack up in my house, and not my cold external garage, get the gear to work digital modes, work some satellites, activate a POTA and make lots of contacts.
