For three years, a single mother of six has been begging B.C. Housing to fix a leak that rotted the ceiling above her unit and made her only bathroom unusable. Three years of living in unsafe conditions. Three years of asking for help. Now, instead of fixing the problem, the solution offered is eviction and pressure to move into another unit with ongoing pest issues. This is exactly why British Columbians are losing confidence in the way social housing is being managed. No family should have to live like this. And three years after the government ordered a review into the inhumane conditions in these buildings, the report is still nowhere to be found.
