Olathe East’s (6A, 7-3) junior pitcher Ada Schweller is one to look out for this year for the Hawks. The junior hits left handed, but throws right handed at 65 MPH. Schweller has thrown 34 innings this year with 68 strikeouts and an opponent's BA of .114. In her high school career she has thrown 232 strikeouts. Schweller has had back to back games with 16 and 19 strikeouts. She is committed to continue her softball career at Bradley university after receiving offers from Creighton, South Dakota State, and UMKC. Schweller said, “We struggled a lot as a team last year but we put in a lot of work in the offseason and already have more wins then we did all of last year.
