(2/2)... clean up & pressure wash all over. Now on the downstream #LandingStage @ #HemingfordLock #RiverGreatOuse. This renewed facility will be available to #RiverUsers this coming season & is an example of @EnvAgency investment in the #River on our @EnvAgencyAnglia #waterways.

A birds eye view of ongoing #Lock drain down work @ #HemingfordLock / #RiverGreatOuse over the 2019/20 winter period. Part of vital planned preventative maintenance to keep these structures safe & working for years to come. A major investment in our @EnvAgencyAnglia #waterways.

#OutOnPatrol & our end of the line for today at #HemingfordLock & our winter works. Not every day you see the lock empty of water. All drained down for inspection, surveys & repairs. They are then moving onto the downstream landing stage to replace & realign it for next season.

#OutOnPatrol Checking for obstructions following the high flows downstream of #OffordLock today. The first time under the new A14 viaduct with traffic moving above. Hope to get as far down as #HemingfordLock today where our contractors are setting up for our winter overhaul.
